We’ve been busy with various projects the past few weeks! First up we have a Chinese scooter called a Lance Charming, which is a “vintage” style scoot with a QMB139 (50cc, 4-stroke) engine. It needed a new ignition, a new vacuum-actuated petcock, and the owner sprung for an 80cc Big Bore Kit while we were at it.<\/p>\n

As you can see, we had to disassemble almost the entire scooter to get to everything! We are a mobile service, so we work streetside a lot of the time! Watch out for those cars whizzing past!!<\/p>\n

Next up is a Honda Ruckus that needed a new fuel pump. The stock fuel pumps on these things tend to break if you look at them wrong. They tend to break if the scooter sits for a long time. They also tend to break for no good reason! If your Honda Ruckus or Metropolitan is “running funny” it could be because of a faulty fuel pump. Last but not least, we have a 2013 Honda Metropolitan with a “next generation” fuel injected engine. This one just needed some light service work, so we changed the oil, looked at the air filter, and installed a new spark plug. We performed the work downtown at a metered parking spot!<\/p>\n
